So... For stocky or big people thinking about going to 2XL... Don't! I am 5'7 230 and 2XL was M A S S I V E, baggy at the bottom, baggy at the cuffs, but bunched up in the shoulders. All other 2XL Carhartt clothing fits me great, but this jacket in 2X does not. I exchanged my 2XL for a 1XL Tall, and it is the perfect length, my shoulder area is not bunched up, cuffs and bottom of jacket are just right, no drafts like with the 2x.

Agree with all the other reviews as far as build quality/feel/insulative qualities of the jacket. Very happy with it.

5' 10-11" 310lbs, XXL. Fits just like the size should. Read reviews and thought I should get one size smaller but turns out too small! Received my requested size in two days upon requesting a return (a day before I ACTUALLY returned it, go Amazon!)

I would suggest getting a jacket with free returns to test out the size and warmth (ignoring color choice) and then getting the actual color you want if the color you wanted does not have free returns.

So far tested out at 48 deg only and my boyfriend had his jacket unzipped up front as it was too warm and his back was sweating! (He had a tshirt and tank on besides the jacket) Cant wait to test it out when it's 0 deg and I will update my review then. I reduced a star due to it's length. It's kinda short. Anyone with the same height or taller as/than my boyfriend should get it in tall if they dont mind dark brown. When I was buying it, only dark brown is available for XXL Tall.
